The Day an Alien Came Round

‘What are you?’

‘I am the meteor you don’t notice soaring past you and the asteroid you won’t see hitting you. I am all you know and all you do not. I am your almighty creator or I might as well be. I am God and the Devil, the sun and the moon, all rolled up into one in a glory of superiority. I am the stars and you are pebbles. I am the waves and your planet is but a grain of sand. I am love and hate and any other emotion in your feeble minds. But most of all I am bewildered. Bewildered that your pathetic species had enough sense to define the universe as infinite, yet maintain the naïve notion that you still matter!’
